NEWS_EVENTS!

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR MORE SURVIVORS TO GET TOGETHER WITH!!

For those survivors that live in Southwest Florida (the west coast side of our COPS chapter-Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties), and you would like to hook up to meet or just visit with each other, send your contact info in a message letting us know.
Our chapter is so large with 11 counties, its not so easy to be in the know of how we all are doing in between meetings and events.  Nothing official, just a get together for some lunch or coffee or whatever.  No one is obligated.
Take care and have a great day!!

Because sometimes a handwritten note from a child is all it takes to
keep a deputy's head up during a tragedy.

During the Traumas of Law Enforcement Training today in Miami, FL, two people who have done so much for C.O.P.S. were honored with an award.
Pete and Debbie Geary accepted a Certificate of Appreciation from the Metropolitan Police Institute for continuing to support the law enforcement operations of the institute. Pete is a retired Sergeant of the Broward County Sheriff's Office and now serves on the C.O.P.S. National Board as the Southeast Region Trustee. His wife Debbie is a Past National President of C.O.P.S. and continues to train officers through the TLE trainings.
Congratulations Pete and Debbie! Thank you for continuing to share your stories and experience with the law enforcement community. This award is well-deserved!
